I am a Postdoctoral Scholar with a background in synthetic inorganic chemistry. I am originally from South Korea and received my PhD degree from UT Austin under the supervision of Prof. Michael Rose, where I worked on synthetic models of [Fe]-hydrogenase. I am very interested in working in multidisciplinary fields where experts from different backgrounds can freely share their ideas for a common goal. Outside the lab, I love cooking & baking, gardening, working on art projects, and exploring art museums.
I have the greatest job in the world! I get to work alongside this amazing team of researchers and teach courses related to chemistry and biochemistry. I’m passionate about the chemistry-biology interface, collaborations, undergraduate education, and equity and justice. Outside work, I enjoy building forts and having living room dance parties with my family, staying active outside, and connecting with friends.
